The Pad Crew I will be responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing materials and inventory of parts required for the new build process. The Pad Crew I will ensure that new rig yard hands are trained on the processes and procedures as well as the parts required for the new build process. The incumbent in this role will be required to work effectively, handling multiple tasks during the rig-up and rig-down process to include, but not limited to installing and assembling rig components, and painting and finishing equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
This position requires work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The incumbent will be regularly exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the well pad is located. The southern states generally experience hot summers where temperatures range from 80° to low 100° with high humidity; winters have temperatures that generally do not go below 20°. Incumbents in this role must be able to effectively navigate across work sites with continuous walking, climbing, stepping, and some standing, etc. during normal operating conditions (outdoor hot/cold weather). Persons must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces.
Incumbents in this role must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The person must be able to work closely with others assigned to the rig construction process. The person in this position must be willing to work a schedule that varies depending on the level of business. This schedule can include days and nights as well as weekends and holidays.

Detailed Description:
- Participate in pre- and post-tour meetings to support effective communication, planning, and operational safety.
- Inspect fabricated units to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with delivery specifications.
- Organize, sort, and stage incoming and outgoing materials and inventory to support efficient new-build operations.
- Safely operate a variety of air-powered and hand tools, including ratchets, wrenches, push sticks, tag lines, driving pins, and sledgehammers.
- Maintain current knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety standards while promoting a quality-driven, incident-free work culture.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe jobsite environment, including safety houses and conex units, while ensuring tools and equipment remain in proper working condition.
- Provide safety orientations and guidance for jobsite visitors in accordance with site protocols.
- Support the Pad Foreman with tool tracking, accountability, and inventory management.
- General knowledge of rig-up yard operations and processes.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions related to rig-up and rig-down operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members while taking direction and providing constructive feedback regarding shared responsibilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently and completing assignments in a timely manner.
- Willingness to ask questions and seek clarification to ensure safe and accurate job performance.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including climbing and working at elevated heights.
- Capable of frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50–100 lbs.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment while collaborating with crew members, contractors, and management.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain Forklift and Man Lift certifications.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to successfully complete all required training courses and safety programs.
- Capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling during field and operational activities.
- Ability to maintain situational awareness by accurately judging distances and recognizing active worksite hazards.
- Ability to identify unusual equipment or machinery noises and promptly report concerns.
- Strong memory retention and attention to detail for both short- and long-term operational tasks.
- Ability to maintain spatial awareness and safely navigate active work environments with moving equipment and personnel.
- Ability to remain alert, focused, and safety-conscious during extended work periods.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate, follow instructions, and provide direction when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year stable related work history (e.g., farming, ranching, construction, heavy equipment or other trade) or military service
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Possess a general understanding of rig construction and general rig operations
